Indonesian anteater carcasses headed for China

Indonesian police confiscated the carcasses of dozens of rare, scaly anteaters that were to be smuggled to China, an official said Monday.

The remains of 61 animals had been packed in ice chests in a delivery van, said Achmad Kartiko, a local police chief in western Jambi province, Sumatra island. Two suspects who were in the van were held for questioning after Saturday's discovery.
