VIC: Edelsten application dismissed
MELBOURNE, Feb 18 AAP - Flamboyant former doctor Geoffrey Edelsten has again lost his
application to practise medicine.
Mr Edelsten had appealed the Medical Board's decision to reject his third application to be
reregistered as a doctor.
The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) today dismissed that application.
"We are not satisfied in the light of our findings as to Dr Edelsten's character that he
has demonstrated a change of such magnitude to call a finding in his favour," the VCAT members
said.
"Indeed, to the contrary, his evidence before us underscored his current situation as a
person who ought not be registered as a medical practitioner in Victoria."
